ʻŌlelo - Hawaiian Dictionary ("the App") is developed by Wataru Yonamine. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
The App does not collect personal data. Dictionary data, favorites, and search history are stored locally on your device. ʻŌlelo sends a small set of anonymous purchase-funnel events (for example, a paywall shown, a purchase completed, or a restore result) to our feedback service so we can verify that the Pro purchase flow works and improve conversion.
These events contain no name, email address, account ID, advertising ID, device ID, search text, favorites, or location. They use bounded labels such as the app entry point, product identifier, and outcome. The events are not used for tracking across apps or websites, are not sold, and are used only for aggregate product and purchase-flow analysis.
The dictionary, favorites, search, and pronunciation features work offline. When an internet connection is available, anonymous purchase-funnel events may be sent to our feedback service at app-feedback.w-yonamine.workers.dev. Apple StoreKit also handles in-app purchases. If the event request fails, the app keeps a small bounded retry queue on the device and does not block dictionary use.
The App offers optional in-app purchases (ʻŌlelo Pro and tips). These transactions are processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is suitable for all ages.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
